France has a remarkable number of festivals for kizomba and its cousins, urban kiz, semba and tarraxo: nearly sixty are already announced for the season. Almost every weekend, from Lille to Marseille, a festival opens its doors. To help you plan your season, here is a selection of events announced from October 2026 to May 2027, month by month, all listed in the WeGoDance calendar.

October 2026: festival season starts
October is very busy. On the weekend of 16 October, three cities host a festival at the same time: Toulouse with the Toulouse Kizomba Festival, Paris with the Tokoos Kizomba Festival, and Reims with the Champagne Dance Festival, a salsa, bachata and kizomba event.

In Lyon, the Multiverse Kizomba Meeting opens the season on 15 October, with several rooms and atmospheres.
Late October and November: tarraxo, Halloween and big congresses
From 29 October to 2 November, the Global Tarraxo Festival Paris brings tarraxo lovers together in Rungis, near Orly. The same weekend, Conexão Halloween takes place in Bordeaux and L'Énergie Weekender in Argonay, near Annecy, with a 100% kizomba, kompa and semba programme.

The big event of the month is the Paris Kizomba Congress, from 19 to 23 November in Tremblay-en-France.

December 2026: winter festivals and New Year
December starts strong with the Nantes Kizomba Festival (3 to 6 December), the Dama Kizomba Festival in Cabriès, near Aix-en-Provence, and WOW, a women-only weekend in Lyon.
In mid-December, head to Nancy for the Kizomba Rainbow Festival, Roissy for Paris Kizz Experience, Nantes for Kiz Me Five, then Poitiers for the Kiz & Sun Weekender.
For New Year's Eve, three French festivals welcome you: Paris Kizomba Semba NYE, Lyon New Year Celebration and New Year Escape in Toulouse. We cover them in a dedicated article.
January and February 2027: snow, Valentine's Day and big events
In January, note the Suave Dance Festival Paris (22 to 24 January) and Global Tarraxo Just Dance in Rungis (28 January to 1 February). Hakuna Matata Festival takes place near Grenoble, in Saint-Martin-d'Hères.

In February, Alegria Festival takes over Le Cube in Bordeaux, and Wakanda Festival returns to Roissy-en-France from 19 to 22 February.
March 2027: congress season
March brings big events around Paris: The Battle Kizz All Stars Congress, I Will Dance Festival in Lieusaint and the Paris Afro Latin Congress, from 19 to 22 March.
Outside Paris, Kizatours celebrates 10 years in Tours (12 to 14 March), the Multiverse returns to Lyon for Easter, and Toulouse hosts RIIISCA Festival. In Montpellier, Kiz Relax MTP Festival makes the most of Easter Monday.

In April, Tarraxo Spring Lyon (8 to 12 April) draws tarraxo fans, and the Atlantik Corazon Festival moves into the former submarine base in Saint-Nazaire, a unique venue. Inside Festival takes place in Mérignac and Dikanza do Semba offers a semba weekend in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

- Check the musical direction: some festivals focus on urban kiz and tarraxo, others on traditional kizomba and semba.
